Cardiologist
A cardiologist is a physician who specializes in treating heart conditions and disorders. Cardiology is the study of the heart, its functions, and diseases that affect it. Cardiologists specialize in diagnosing and treating problems related to the heart including angina (chest pain), arrhythmia (abnormal heartbeat), hypertension (high blood pressure), valvular disease (when valves inside your heart don’t work properly) and other conditions involving how blood flows through arteries that feed oxygenated blood into smaller vessels called veins returning oxygenated blood back to your lungs for removal from body tissues through diffusion.
Cardiology is the study of the heart and its functions. It is a branch of medicine that deals with diseases involving the heart, blood vessels, and other organs of the body. Cardiology is a subspecialty within internal medicine that focuses on diseases affecting these tissues (that’s why it’s sometimes called “coronary care”). In addition to being one kind of cardiologist, you can also be trained as an interventional cardiologist if you specialize in using minimally invasive techniques like stents or balloons to treat certain conditions related to your arteries.
